Interior Design Photography London

Interior design photography for this Luxury Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse. Working with Graphic Designer Steve from Crux Design  & Interior Designer, Emma Rickwood at Henley Space

This wasn’t the usual “taupe & mirrors” high end london residential development. Their talented design team created an original eclectic mix. English eccentricity woven with contemporary luxury design . Think Vivienne Westwood meets Philip Stark!

Residential brochure:  Interiors Photographer or not?

We planned most imagery to fit the brochure. It had already been designed using CGI images. However as the project evolved it needed an update. Steve & Emma wanted a bit more atmosphere and  “we can touch it life”. So they opted for conventional photography. But when I saw the CGI images, I loved some of the lighting. And so did the team. For the media room, in particular, although the design had changed, we still wanted to bring some of the CGI look. And other rooms, so wide, to get the perspective right, I need to use stitch images together, to create the CGI effect. As in the image below.

Creating CGI look with Layered HDMI image photography

I created the high end, sharp gloss effect of CGI. I took a slightly different approach. It takes a while longer than normal interior photography. Lots of lighting on the shoot day, and many exposures. Then plenty of time in post with layers upon layers! So yes more time on the day and definitely in post. But well worth it, I love the results.

I may find it hard to go back to normal interiors photography 😉
